Is it time for a new political party in the USA

Is it time for a new political party in the USA

By Dark Politricks

At least in the UK we can see that there is a party that will push for peoples policies and the Tories who will fit in very nicely with the "Establishment" one party state in the USA.

With the fallout of the 2016 US Presidential Elections still rocking the US news isn't it time that a new political party is formed.

Many trade unionists have decided to stop paying dues to the Democratic party considering it is now basically Republican "light". A party destined to lose unless they come up with some actual policies to help working people.

Instead of moving to the left after the election loss which Hillary just seemed to assume she would win, they have continued to take money from big pharma, Wall St and Silicon Valley. These are all groups that also fund the Republicans and Obama is collecting his reward for not jailing any bankers or stopping their illegal practices with his $400,000 after dinner speeches at the top banks.

What I don't understand is - if the Democrats cannot even beat an incompetent like Donald Trump who thinks Twitter is the way policy is made in the USA, telling his supporters how "super" and "great" their proposed, but never passed, tax and heath reform bills will be. Then what do they actually stand for?

I think many people who voted for Trump are going to be mightily pissed off when they find their health and tax bills have gone up if the GOP does get them passed. They fell for the con man with the 3 cups and single ball. His rallies may have given false hope to most of his voters but the Democrats didn't even seem to have any policies or big rallies (apart from Bernie Sanders who could have beaten Trump).

Therefore it is now clear there is just one party in Washington, the "Establishment Party".

The 6 news channels all suck up to it rather than tell real news and ask real questions such as:

  • Why are we still in Afghanistan after 16 years (opium and other minerals maybe?)
  • Why are the richer getting richer, with more tax cuts, whilst the middle class and poor are getting less and less?
  • Why doesn't the FBI just get a warrant for Hillary's DNC email ISP and collect all the emails from their and take her computer system to see if it was really hacked and how by the Russians?
  • Why if the Democrats are crying "Russia" all the time when a difficult question is posed is no actual proof provided and why did they do exactly the same thing by creating a dossier on Trump but just going through a UK ex spy middle man?

There is a need for new party in the USA.

As John Oliver laughed off Green Party candidate Jill Stein's idea of quantitative easing for paying off student debt on his TV snow. The "Establishment Party just did exactly the same to give Trump $700 billion for the military - not that they need it.</a>

So if the Establishment can just create money out of thin air for their wars because they know their campaign funders, lobbyists and companies who promised them a cushy job after they leave office can do it why can we not do it for the 99% of people who need it.

Whether you are on the left, right, middle, or flying high in the sky their surely are enough people who would come together on common issues.

Issues that affect us or will affect us all.

Issues such as:

A jobs program. Trump never brought back all those jobs he promised from China he opened a few coal mines to allow a few hundred more men to die of black lung in their 50's. The Green parties "Green New Deal" would have created thousands if not millions of new jobs and put people back to work and tax money to the government. Plus it would have got us off fossil fuels and helped with Climate Change, something many people in the worst year for hurricanes still deny.

These people with jobs would actually spend their money on products built-in China, maybe one day built-in the USA. The money would flow upwards and not downwards. The supply side demand system has been shown to fail so try a trickle up system where money is put in the pockets of people who will spend it on items such as food and goods rather than stash it in tax havens.

A ban on illegal wars we know nothing about. Why are troops dying in Niger? Why do we need to be fighting proxy wars and propping up the petro-dollar with Saudi Arabia all over the Middle East? The CIA should be disbanded as they are training our supposed enemy al-Qaeda in Syria and ISIS to fight President Assad. There was even the recent case where the Department of Defence was fighting the CIA over there.

Stop illegal immigration by not meddling in other countries affairs, starting wars and causing refugees as the US has done in Iraq, Libya, Syria and Somalia but instead helping them by building homes, schools, providing fresh water and teaching them to farm. This would prevent their desire to leave their homeland and stop the migration crisis we are seeing in Europe at the moment.

Why does the US have to require over 900 military bases all over the world and stick its nose into other countries business when it's not wanted. Just think if half those bases were closed, many just created to encircle Russia and China, it would provide enough money for free health care, education, and reduce the tensions between those countries.

Why cant the US restore its moral standing in the world by repealing bills passed after 9.11 that gave the President the power to send troops to pre-emptive wars which were declared the worst form of atrocity at Nuremberg by US judges? What about repealing the PATRIOT ACT and the NDAA that allows the President to kill US citizens even in it's own borders if required.

Stop drone killings of children and old men and then calling them enemy combatants because they are between the ages of 14 and 80.

A stop to the Orwellian policies of the US Establishment that took Edward Snowden to reveal to the sheep and Facebook, Google and Twitter filtering out stories unfavourable to it. A return to fair trials, no arrests without warrants, no spying on people without just cause.

Free health care and affordable if not free education (for life if required - to re-train), for every citizen in the country. A person living in the richest country in the world should not leave college to get a stroke when they see how many thousands of dollars they owe for their education and then leave the hospital with another bill for thousands of dollars for their recuperation.

The US is probably still top of the list of countries that pose a danger to world peace, especially now Donald Trump is in charge along with North Korea. Plus Torture which is illegal in all western countries apart from the US as it has been proven not to work plus it has floored America's moral standing in the world.

Make US companies pay their fair share of tax not just allow them to set up headquarters in a postbox in a tax haven. Google has just moved from Ireland to Jersey to get out of tax payments. International companies should be banned from tax avoidance like this.

Start trade unions and allow workers on the company boards to give their view. Germany does this and they have a far more harmonious work attitude between management and staff. Co-operative companies where the percentage of money earned by staff and management is agreed by all, and profits are shared by everyone work very well as everyone has an incentive to  work harder.

I am sure there are more issues that can be brought up but voting for Trump is going to make a lot of Republican voters hit themselves in the face when they get their next tax bill and Trump gets a smile due to the huge discount all because he owns golf courses that get money deductions.

A new Peoples Party is needed, whether headed by Bernie Sanders or Jill Stein or someone else. It is not left or right wing but it's core duty is to look after the working middle class, poor inner city youths by providing activities and sports to prevent gang violence and imprisonment of bankers and politicians who grope, rape and steal other peoples money.

The duopoly in Washington are all Wall St prostitutes and fat cat whores who care more about getting money than policies to help the people of their country.

What do you think?

Donald Trump offers the UK a fast and fair trade deal

YouTube.com

With all the scare stories of BREXIT causing Britain's demise, remember BREXIT could be a good thing, just like pulling out of the ERM was. We devalued, exported goods, our GDP grew and finally politicians from both Labour and the Tories could see there was little point in joining the Euro.

Trump loves the fact we voted OUT for BREXIT and he is ready to give us a great trade deal ASAP. Wouldn't that shove two fingers up Merkel for her to see us getting business deals with the USA plus the Commonwealth.

Deals with Australia, India, Canada and South Africa some of the most biggest emerging markets in the world plus all the other countries in the commonwealth are going to be needed and sorted fast and they are all lining up to get in the queue.

The country clearly voted to leave despite their being split down the middle between the cities and towns who benefit from the foreign labour and those who have seen their factories off shored, no job opportunities and bosses undercutting their wages by hiring Romanians and Poles to do the work for half the price.

There is no denying the voters who wanted to leave won the popular vote, 17,410,742 (to leave) v 16,141,242 (to remain), that's right down the middle at 51.% v 48.1%.

Yes the country is divided but apart from some dips in shares that then rose again - I bet a few bankers made a mint on that curve in our price - we have yet to see Armageddon yet in the UK.

So far BREXIT, seems like the first year of WWII, when we were at war but no fighting had began between British and German troops.

Obviously we haven't declared article 50 but Europeans are not stupid about the fact we are their biggest trading partner and putting extreme import tariffs on our goods into the EU will just lead to a trade war where we lower corporation tax to encourage companies to base themselves here and other policies that I am sure we have to use.

What do you think of BREXIT so far, apart from the loss of value in your wallet when shopping what have you noticed apart from less Polish car washers at garages?

Remember there is no need to spend 6+ years on a trade deal between the EU and Canada and the reason is that the EU is made up of northern industrial nations like Germany and southern tourist countries like Greece and Spain. Both areas want different things and trying to please all 20+ members to the same thing just isn't going to happen.

However the UK by itself can negotiate on it's own terms and not worry about French subsidies for farmers and German car makers when they make their deals.

They can undercut tariffs and other taxes and make it much more profitable to come and set up shop in the UK as the establishment papers scare us all saying everyone is moving offshore.

In my eyes, it's best to initiate article 50 ASAP so we can leave the EU free market and have a world wide market with all the various nations already scrambling to do deals with us without worrying about the EU.

So will the pound crush so low it will be worth squat or will it help our export industry to boom and encourage foreign companies to come and set up shop here?

Who knows but have a vote at the top of the page if you haven't so far.

BREXIT - The Labour Conference

BREXIT and the Labour Conference 2016

By Dark Politricks

With the UK political conference season upon us there has undoubtedly been news about BREXIT coming from the mouths of our politicians and leaders, in between drinking and partying that is.

Last week it was the Labour conference where it was Jeremy Corbyn's turn to speak about BREXIT.

Here is a Labour leader who has just won an even bigger mandate to lead the party after the botched coup by disaffected Blairites and MP's, upset that he didn't manage to persuade every Labour voter to tick the box to remain in the EU.

Why they would think white working class voters who have historically chosen to vote Labour would see the EU as a beaming citadel on the hill, when it has been their jobs that have been shipped overseas, their wages suppressed by bosses using cheap immigrant labour, and their children with the lack of housing options and overwhelmed public services, due to under-funding and over-use, I have no idea.

However many people on the left went and voted to leave the EU and this article explains why.

So the Blairites went ahead with their coup and lost.

In fact Corbyn increased his share of the vote to 61.8% and with the influx of new Labour members, the party is now the biggest in Europe with over half a million members.

Maybe the Blairites will now shut up and get behind their leader. They should be promoting the policies he espouses which it was made clear from the leadership debates that hardly any difference existed between the coups sacrificial lamb, Owen Smith, and Corbyn. You can watch one below.

In his conference speech, Corbyn promised to raise taxes on businesses to fund an overhaul of the UK’s educational system, promising employers they would see a return on the investment, with a future workforce that would be more skilled.

He also outlined plans for a surge of council house building funded by the removal of borrowing caps on local councils and a broad program of public investment with the reinstatement of some trade union rights.

Corbyn said he was offering “a new deal for rebuilding Britain”, including borrowing to invest billions in infrastructure, which he said would benefit businesses.

However, he said, he wanted to see business play its part in return, by paying more tax to fund a proposed “national education service” – a lifelong service from preschools to adult education.

So we have one leader willing to borrow money NOT for wars, or to pay for the massive increase in social welfare bills due to the lack of decent jobs, or to just give to the banks for a bailout.

Instead Corbyn wants to borrow to invest in the country, reduce our debt by increasing GDP by creating jobs and taxing the rich who let's face it, hold much more responsibility for the 2008 banking crisis than the millions of poor and middle class electorate that have suffered during the Tory austerity years.

Plus Corbyn wants lower housing costs so people can afford to get on the housing ladder or obtain social housing that has been kept out of the reach of millions for so long due to the lack of building by previous Tory and Labour governments.

Most importantly he wants to invest in education, especially in areas most hit by the migration that has come in recent years.

By increasing the nations skillset, he will put them on course for high paid jobs, and make Britain a desirable option for countries to invest in.

Maybe if the Tories had carried out some of these policies then not as many working class people would have seen migrants as a threat to their jobs, housing options, school places and increased hospital waiting times.

Maybe if the Tories had spent the billions they wasted on stupid wars in Libya and their undercover support of the FSA, al-Nusra Front and ISIS, who basically control all other rebel groups in Syria, we wouldn't have doubled our national debt since Labour last lost power.

In fact the national debt has risen by £555 billion since 2010 due to Tory policies.

If we stopped allowing banks to rob from us by borrowing from the Bank of England at 0.25% and then make free money by loaning it back to the public at high interest rates e.g 1,261% APR if you look Wonga, then maybe they wouldn't have lost David Cameron as their PM, and therefore the BREXIT vote.

You only have to watch daytime TV in the UK to see that the only growth industries seems to be Payday Loan companies who are taking advantage of poor people's need for loans and online poker, bingo, lottery cards and gambling operations.

This truly has become a nation where we borrow money at stupid costs and then chance it on the roll of a ball in the hope of getting rich.

You can watch Jeremy Corbyn's speech at the 2016 Labour conference below.

What do you think about the idea that we should be investing in our country to grow our GDP instead of borrowing money to fill the growing national debt the Tories have caused from their austerity measures?

Johnathan Pie Unelectable Corbyn gets elected again

Johnathan Pie Unelectable Corbyn gets elected again

Once again the satirist, Johnathan Pie hits the nail on the head with Jeremy Corbyn's 2nd leadership election victory in a year.

Uneletable?

Well he now has an even bigger mandate to run Labour than he did before.

Plus the Labour party now is the biggest political party in Europe with half a million members.

At a time when other political parties are dying. We have witnessed something akin to a reverse takeover of the Labour party. It is incomplete and it is certainly contested, but it is real.

Also by invoking the victories of Sadiq Khan in London and Marvin Rees in Bristol, he was showing that a social movement can yield victory at the ballot box.

Let's see what Johnathan Pie has to say about the unelectable Labour leader.

What do you think of Jeremy Corbyn's 2nd massive victory to stay Labour leader within a year?

Is he really unelectable or are you just falling for the Murdoch press media?

The Tory spin in the Daily Mail and Telegraph that spews out the lies that we cannot spend our money investing in the country but rather on wars, Trident and filling the holes in the Treasury caused by austerity measures?

The Great EU Debate - Full Debate (Jun 21st)

The Great EU Debate - Full Debate (Jun 21st)

One day to go and I bet most people have either made their minds up a long time ago. People will either stick to their guns or they still don't know which they will vote. If so they will probably wobble and keep to what they know by voting remain when they enter the voting booth. A fear of a leap into the unknown etc.

If you didn't watch the BBC's great EU debate last night you can catch up on it now. This was shown on the BBC on June the 21st.

BBC 'The Great Debate' - EU Referendum Debate - Part One

BBC 'The Great Debate' - EU Referendum Debate - Part Two

BBC 'The Great Debate' - EU Referendum Debate - Part Three

BBC 'The Great Debate' - EU Referendum Debate - Part Four

So with one day to go did that debate help you in any shape or form?

Did you like Boris Johnson's idea of a national independence day on June 24th if we vote to leave the EU?

If not check out some of the other videos on the blog.

Owen Jones - Six Reasons To Remain In The EU

Owen Jones - Six Reasons To Remain In The EU

Left wing writer and political commentator, Owen Jones, gives six reasons why we should vote to remain inside the EU later on this month.

The blurb on his video says the following:

We need to vote Remain in the EU referendum - to build a just, democratic Europe. The EU is far from perfect. It needs to become more democratic, more transparent and to start looking out for the people it represents ahead of corporate interests. By uniting with people across Europe, we have a chance of achieving it.

Do you think his arguments are convincing?

Are you worried about losing holidays, paid maternity leave or being sacked without recourse if we left the EU and allowed the Tories to scrap labour laws that have protected workers across the EU for decades?

Don't forget to vote!

Lord Owen spells out his reasons for leaving the EU

Lord Owen spells out his reasons for leaving the EU

This interview is with Lord Owen and he goes over some of the points raised so far in the EU debate pointing out where he thinks the lies and propaganda has gone too far

Has Lord Owen got a point?

At least this dispels any myths about little Englanders being the only people interested in leaving the EU. People from the left, middle and right of politics all have opinions either way.

Personally I am split both ways and here is my own pros and con list.

Reasons To Stay

1. Civil, Workers and Human Rights.

The Tory government has constantly threatened to rip up Human Rights Act, a piece of legislation they helped create after WWII. I have no faith that a Tory written Bill of Rights would give us anything worth mentioning. It would be the Lib Dem's Freedom Bill all over again. Due to the current Tory government I cannot be sure that if we left the EU they wouldn't rip up all the benefits the EU has brought us over the years such as limits on working hours, minimum number of paid holidays, health and safety laws and the Human Rights act. So many other civil liberty related laws have been repealed or changed by Blair and the Tories before and after that we have lost so much when it comes to freedoms and civil rights that the EU is at least a backstop to prevent total police state UK due to the threat of terrorism.

2. Being able to travel and live around Europe Visa free.

I personally reckon things have changed a lot since I moved to Spain to live some time back. Being able to go to the local hospital or doctors and not have to pay due to the EU form I had was great. Even if I couldn't speak much Spanish my letter from the doctor about medications I was on was handy to point at during a consultation.

I have been stitched up in Ibiza and Spain for free and although this was years ago I did hear on BBC Question Time the other night from an ex UK soldier who had planned on retiring in Spain but was forced back due to Spanish doctors telling him they couldn't afford to look after him (due to him being from the UK). How true this is I have no idea but we allow free use of the NHS to anyone who turns up at A&E whether they are from the EU or Africa. Being able to travel when you are younger is an attractive prospect and if anything made it harder to do that I guess a lot of people would be pretty annoyed. Of course there is no need for VISA's, we never used to have one to go to the USA but that doesn't mean any re-negotiations with the EU after BREXIT would involve VISA's to visit EU countries.

3. The TTIP.

I know the Tories have probably bent over backwards to allow US global corporations access to the NHS and other state industries so they can milk them for profit. Therefore I have no faith that leaving the EU would stop us becoming a member of this new threatening trade agreement that will allow companies to sue our government if we introduce laws that cost them money. The French are threatening to veto TTIP at EU level and if we remain in the EU then they could be our only saviour against TTIP.

Do you honestly think the Tories won't try to sign us up for TTIP if we leave the EU?

Reasons To Leave

1. Basic democracy.

Not being able to create our own laws and elect and fire the people who do is a basic tenet of a free society. We have a proud history of giving the world rule of law from the Magna Carta to the UK philosophers who helped inspire the US revolution, from Thomas Paine, The rights of man and the social contract between citizen and state

We also drew up the Convention of Human Rights after WWII to show the newly free countries of Eastern Europe how a civilised country acted. The most democratic part of the EU, the EU parliament that we all get a chance to elect UKIP MEP's to every so often is also the weakest part of the whole decision making process. The EU commission full of failed politicians like Neil Kinnock make (or convert policy documents) into law and the Council of Ministers is just one big horse trade as compromises are made over any new legislation. It is our right to govern ourselves and for anyone to say we can reform the EU to make it more democratic only from staying inside it, I say, well how come we haven't managed to do this in the time we have been members so far?

2. Migration.

Not being able to choose who to allow in to our country and being prevented from allowing commonwealth countries access because EU migrants have filled up all the places. I live somewhere where migration has totally changed the face of the town. I do not underestimate that migration helps keep our services like the NHS going but many of the nurses and doctors are from the Far East or Africa not the EU. Yes it's nice being able to get your car washed and valeted at the local garage by 10 Romanians for a tenner but how many cars do they wash a day for the pittance they are paid. I know from seeing it that 4+ Polish men have shared a single room in a shared house as it was all they could afford. Is it fair to allow the exploitation of their willingness to work for low wages, and the pressure it puts on other peoples wages to be kept low?

3. Federalism.

The EU project has traces going all the way back to German banks in the 30's wanting a free market to allow them to easily invest in other countries industries. The German and French politicians have never been shy of admitting the EU is a project moving constantly towards a closer more integrated federal Europe. As we are not in the Euro and it seems that the only way that currency will work is with a proper fiscal and federal union we are not going to have much say considering we are outside this Euro club. Why not allow them to get on with closer integration if they so wish and allow us to remain a free nation state. Anyone who denies the underlying reasons for the EU, to prevent more war, and create a single European nation, an idea that goes back to the times of Rome and Napoleon is deluded.

Reasons To Ignore

Any talk of causing World War III, or massive unemployment or recession due to us leaving the EU should be ignored.

We are the 5th biggest economy on the planet and whilst some may claim the EU may have had something to do with this they forget that before the massive debts we incurred fighting two World Wars we were the biggest economic power on earth.

We have traded internationally for hundreds of years, we have always been a nation of shopkeepers, creators, inventors and entrepreneurs. For anyone to say we couldn't create trade deals with countries when the EU has attempted and failed to do deals with many other countries or taken 5+ years to do something that a few months should be enough for is just folly.

There may have been no war in Europe (apart from Bosnia and Serbia) since 1945, but then NATO has had more to do with our protection than any EU policy. Having 28 differing opinions is not going to be good for any kind of quick decisive action when it comes to dealing with emergencies as the war in Bosnia showed.

Therefore talk from both sides about anything that cannot possibly be known at this point in time should be ignored. The vote should be done on points of principle not maybes and hypotheticals.

What are the key points you are thinking about when it comes to voting time?

Nigel Farage attacks Lame Duck President for sticking his nose into the BREXIT debate

Nigel Farage attacks Lame Duck President for sticking his nose into the BREXIT debate

This is Nigel Farage on Sky News attacking President Obama for sticking his nose into the BREXIT debate.

He thinks the terminology used by President Obama e.g "back of the queue", signifies that he was parroting a UK line and that the idea that it would take 10 years to make a UK trade deal if we leave is just preposterous.

He also goes into the TTIP deal and why Obama is so keen on the UK staying in the EU and joining the TTIP deal which will allow giant US corporations to buy up the NHS and other UK public services.

What I want to know is why can't the Tory leader, David Cameron, debate leading BREXIT campaigners?

If he doesn't want Blue on Blue attacks, there are enough UKIP, Independents and Labour people to debate instead.

Why isn't David Cameron debating the BREXIT campaign. Surely his agreement that he managed to agree with EU leaders was supposed to prevent us from wanting to vote leave.

Therefore why haven't we heard hardly anything about it since he came back from the EU?

Some Points To Think About - BREXIT

Some Points To Think About - BREXIT

As you consider whether to vote yes to leaving the EU or no and staying within it have you thought about all the consequences?

Here are a few points to consider which people bring up all the time when debating BREXIT.
  • The economic benefits or pitfalls of leaving. How much will it hurt your wallet or will you actually have more money if we leave the EU?
  • The democratic decision making that lets laws that affect us come from the EU. The most democratic part of the EU, the EU parliament which we vote our MEP's to, is the least powerful part of the EU. Major decisions are made in the Council of Ministers or the EU Commission.
  • What really are the pro's and cons of being able to control our own borders. Maybe we will stop some migrants that shouldn't be allowed in the country but will France just wave them onto the Eurostar if we leave?
  • Would still have to pay the EU money to be part of the free market as Norway and Switzerland do. This is a major claim of the BREXIT campaigners that we just want a free market and none of the EU super state excess. However there maybe a cost to this and the EU countries may decide we would have to pay to access this market. Do we really have enough countries outside the block to sell our goods to. Can we really make reciprocal arrangements with hundreds of countries or is the benefit of having a single trading block that we deal with more important.
  • What will happen to ex pats living abroad in Spain and other EU countries. Will they have to go and get Visa's and re-apply for citizenship? If we kick out people that shouldn't be here will other countries respond in kind.
  • Would an Australian points style system benefit us or would you miss your cheap £10 car wash and valet at the local garage by the Polish workers running around like bee's for a pittance. Would they be able to get into the county if we had a points style system?
  • What about NHS workers, cleaners and manual workers that we all depend on. Will they be able to stay in the UK?
  • Are benefits really the biggest issue? We spent a trillion pounds in the last decade on wars in Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan. That money could easily pay for the hole in the pension pot and any benefits we desire. Remember it wasn't the poorest people who caused the economic collapse it was the Bankers. How our taxes are spent should be up for debate and the EU plays a very small part in that when you look at the big picture.
  • If we leave the EU we will still be handing over our banking transaction details (SWIFT) to the USA as we currently do through the EU. GCHQ is the NSA's foothold in Europe, would we lose out on invaluable security information or would the flow of data to and from the USA remain the same?
  • Can we honestly believe a Tory Bill of Rights to replace the Human Rights Act (which the Tories created after World War II) would be worth the paper it was written on. They promised us a rollback of Labour police state policies when they were in coalition with the Lib Dem's who had proposed their own Freedom Bill. However when the combined bill came out it was watered down so much the only important part was the stopping of private car parks to clamp your cars. Compare the original Lib Dem's bill to what we got. Would a Bill of Rights be a new version of the American Bill or a watered down version that gives parliament and corporations more power over us?
These are just a few points to consider.
